The Vice Principal's Profile

Mr Faustinous Mushosho is the Vice Principal of Masvingo Teachers’ College. Mr Mushosho is a seasoned teacher educator and administrator with vast experience in education in general and teacher education in particular spanning more than three decades. His key determination is the commitment to quality teacher education and great interest in unlocking human potential.

Mr Mushosho is a holder of a Master of Education Degree in Educational Foundations (Philosophy) which he obtained from the University of Zimbabwe in 1997. Prior to that, Mr Mushosho studied for a Bachelor of Arts General Degree (BA General) with the University of Zimbabwe in 1984, Graduate Certificate in Education (1986) and Graduate Diploma in Education (1990).

Mr Mushosho’s teaching career started at St Ignatius College in 1985 just after his Bachelor’s Degree. In January 1991, he moved to Mutare Teachers’ College as a lecturer where he rose through the ranks from being Head of Subject (1997-1999), Lecturer in Charge (1999-2009) and Head of Department (2009-2014). In June 2014, Mr Mushosho was elevated to Acting Vice Principal and served in that capacity until January 2017. From January to June 2017, he served as Acting Principal for Mutare Teachers’ college. On 19 June 2017, Mr Mushosho assumed duty at Masvingo Teachers’ College as substantive Vice Principal.
